A seemingly inconspicuous hill in the middle of southern Basilicata hides a treasure in the form of the best pecorino in the south. Not only has pecorino Forenza from this estate been recognized as one of the best in southern Italy, but it is also super versatile. You can consume it on its own, on pasta, baked with vegetables, fried, or just warmed in a panini. Everything works.
